Chic -vs- Rocker

Hey dolls... Well I have been busy at work and have been unable to do my Miranda Kerr look. Im hoping I can this upcoming weekend. I did it this last Saturday when I went home but I forgot my camera in VA... so I am unable to share.

N-E way I have been reading in all my magazines and there are tons of articles talking about how rocker girl is out and CHIC is in right now. But although Im all for florals and pink, I cant let go of my ripped up jeans and Bebe leather jacket. I think its time for a good balance.

We girls don't have to just be one thing. Some days Ill wear a floral dress with light pink natural makeup. The next Ill wear my red stilettos and leather mini skirt. We can do it all. The fun thing about being girls is that we can dress up and be anything we like. Cut our hair, dye our hair. Be Lady GaGa one day and be Marilyn Monroe the other.

Hey beautiful dolls, 
So there is a new trend this summer and I have been wanting to do a post but I always end up forgetting. Im not sure what I think of this. I like it "sometimes" but then I really don't know. I really need to try it out and see what happens:)


Bebe... Loving this entire outfit:) And the model is rocking it.

Im just going to have to GO FOR IT. I usually test things out by peoples reactions. (which let me get it straight: I don't care what people think because I am going to wear what I love). But Im thinking I am going to go for it this next weekend and test what my boyfriend thinks and what reactions I get when I go out about the town.


 I wonder if people will look at me like Im crazy. Let me say that: I live somewhere that doesn't really appreciate the fine art of fashion. There are very few people that are brave and actually have a STYLE. I mean people just wear whatever. I think its because people are scared of wearing what they want because they think they will be judged. It could also be that since it is a military town people just want to wear really comfortable stuff. Just tanks and running shorts. Its understandable, but sometimes I wish I lived in New York or California. Fashion central. I want to be inspired. I want to be in awe.

Dont get me wrong I wear sweats, running shorts, t-shirts, and tanks as much as the guy next door..lol
But I like to have at least ONE day out of the week were I just wear something fantastic! 


There is no better feeling than to wear something that you LOVE and feel GREAT in. Don't be afraid to try new things and experiment with fashion. If you decide you don't like something then don't ever wear it again. Mix and Match. HAVE FUN!!!!

Wow, so I spent the last 8 hours cleaning a weapon! So tired. More mentally than physically but never less it needed to be done. Yesterday I went to the range to qualify which basically means that I had to shoot at targets all day long.
Well, n-e way it took me longer than I would have hoped for. Yesterday was just not my day. But I eventually qualified and knocked out the targets. It was so annoying because after a while your eyes get freakin tired and everything gets blurry. But I really reached in and prayed and finally I pulled through.

Ok, my dream is to be a Victoria Secret Angel but I know that is not going to happen... well just in my dream...

One of my favorite girls is Miranda because she has a really kick back natural makeup look. Lets face it "I really dont think this girl even needs any makeup". But I really do appreciate her look.


I will be doing my Miranda Kerr inspired Look. I will be using a new product from Urban Decay. Should be posted by Saturday night.


I probably wont post much until then. I have the most crazy week coming up. I will have a firing range and a land navigation course and I know I am going to be exhausted!!!!
But its my job:) gotta do it.

Gladiator Girl

Sunday my family and I went to go see "Despicable Me". It was so cute. My son loved it. We didn't watch it 3D which we like because sometimes those 3D glasses can get so uncomfortable and my son takes them off.... lol


I bought some gladiator sandals at cutseygirl.com and I had been dying to wear them. I put this outfit together and it really came off as a complete gladiator girl outfit....


My boyfriend really liked it and he said I looked "girly" which was cute... lol...

Katy Perry Inspired Blue

Once again I came home for the weekend. All week ALL I think about is coming home to see my two beautiful boys.... Saturday I decided to attempt my Blue Katy Perry look.

Things were really off. Im getting a summer cold and my nose was runny the entire time I was trying to record the tutorial. My son was making load crying noises for some reason so the sound was off. My eyes were extremely watery and I kept sneezing!!! lol

Needless to say the Katy Perry look didn't turn out the way I would have wished for. But regardless of how bad of a makeup day I was having my two boys turned my frown upside down. They took me out to eat and out shopping. It was an awesome day. We tried to go watch a movie but EVERYONE decided to go to the movies last night and most movies were sold out!!!! We ended up making it movie night in at home.
My boyfriend had my favorite ice cream in the freezer (Chunky Monkey)....

Have breakfast on the stove and we are going to try round 2 at the movies.
Then back to VA.. for another long week of hardcore Army training:) Cant wait for next Friday:)

Hope you guys enjoy and sorry for the bad quality. Im in this horrible hotel room with the worst lighting in the world!!! I hope to be moving out of here at the end of the week. They said they were going to get me into a furnished apartment since Im going to be here until the end of October. I really hope I get it!!

This room is a super tiny little box. And the sheets are itchy.
I miss home. But at least Im close to home and not in Afghanistan like all my friends and comrades. I shouldnt complain and I feel guilty. BUT I REALLY DO HATE ITCHY SHEETS!

N-E way, this weekend my boyfriend and baby son are coming down to visit. Im so excited! I just want this week to fly by. 3 more days to go!!! Going to be a long 3 days but ALL Im thinking about is FRIDAY when I can see my TWO favorite people.

Has to be one of the coolest chicks ever! This girl has the coolest style ever. I am really into the 1950s Pin-Up style and she does this look really well. However she puts a very modern twist to it.

ONE of my favorite videos is "Thinking of You". This video really inspired me when I did a couple of my Pin-Up shoots. Her makeup was flawless.

Well, I have noticed that she does blue on her eyes often. Maybe it's her fav color? Who knows but she does it really well and I think anyone can pull of this look.
My favorite colors are purple and blue (on the turquoise side). I saw this pic of Katy and I really got inspired to try and do it.

I am obsessed with the Kardashian girls. I watch their shows, and I buy their products. Im not really sure WHY?. but I think its because they remind me of my family (except not famous). Well if I were one of the sisters I would be Khloe. I have no censor on what I say and Im just really outspoken like she is.

Well, I have seen so many tutorials on Kim but I haven't really come across any of Khloe.

I really love how she does her makeup. She usually does a really defined cheek (super pink and bronzy). And her eyes are usually smokey and dramatic. Her lips are a coral color and I really love CORAL!

Jessica Biel Inspired Makeup

I LOVE Jessica Biel

I came home for the weekend. It was great because my boyfriend came home from overseas and I missed him sooooo much. Im heading back to VA this morning and I feel really sad but excited for next weekend when Ill see him and my son again:)

Yesterday we went to go see the new Eclipse movie. I really liked it... I had heard mixed reviews about it but Im glad I went to check it out myself.

N-E way there was a picture I saw in my Vogue magazine of Jessica Biel and I really loved her makeup look. I was really excited to try it out yesterday. The look is a bit different, but was def. inspired by hers.
I will be posting the video up tonight on how I created the smoldering Jessica Biel look:)

Sigma Brushes

Before I headed out here to VA I ordered the new Sigma Brushes. I was worried that I would leave and someone would steal them from my porch, however, thankfully I got them the day I left. I was glad I was running late for my long drive because I ended up brining my NEW brushes with me.

I havent used them YET, but I cant wait to try them out this Saturday.

I saw this picture in my new issue of Womans Health and I fell in love with this makeup look. I will be doing this look on Saturday. Look out for it. I am going to be trying out my new Sigma brushes.
